OVERVIEW

The Challenge

The founder of miirr.ai had a compelling vision: using AI to revolutionize fashion buying workflows. However, the concept was too abstract to effectively pitch to investors. They needed to bridge the gap between a "verbal idea" and a "tangible product" urgently.

The Solution

Acting as a Product Architect rather than just a designer, I partnered directly with the founder to shape the software structure. By leveraging my retail industry background and low-code tools, I delivered a functional, high-fidelity demo that validated the concept and opened doors for funding.

3 Big Takeaways

  1. Domain Expertise as UX Strategy

  2. Hybrid Prototyping for Speed

  3. Visuals that Build Trust

01.

Domain Expertise as UX Strategy

Designing for Real-World Logic

While many designers require extensive research to understand the nuances of fashion buying, I leveraged my direct experience in retail product data management. I intimately understood the pain points of manual entry and error-prone workflows. This allowed me to bypass the learning curve and immediately architect AI workflows that aligned with valid business logic, ensuring the solution solved actual problems rather than just looking futuristic.

IA Map

Architecting the Logic

A high-level view of the Information Architecture (IA). Leveraging my retail background, I mapped out the complex relationships between vendors, orders, and documents to ensure the AI model processed data accurately within a real-world context.

Demystifying the AI Workflow

A detailed breakdown of the core product experience. I designed this flow to give users visibility into the 'black box' of AI processing. Crucially, the export phase offers tailored paths—CSV for legacy systems and Shopify for modern e-commerce—directly addressing the versatile needs of fashion buyers.

02.

Hybrid Prototyping for Speed

Figma + Base44 Integration

To meet the aggressive one-month deadline, traditional development cycles were not an option. I adopted a "Design-as-Code" strategy: crafting high-fidelity visuals in Figma and immediately implementing them into Base44, a low-code prototyping tool. This approach enabled the delivery of a live, interactive demo with real logic—transforming static screens into a convincing product experience for investors.

From Canvas to Code

Bridging the gap between design and functionality. I established a robust component library in Figma (top) that mirrored Base44's logic, allowing for rapid iteration and a seamless transition from static mockups to a live, interactive prototype.

03.

Visuals that Build Trust

Balancing Innovation with Credibility

For early-stage AI startups, trust is the most valuable currency. I orchestrated a cohesive visual identity across both the product UI and the marketing landing page. The design language was crafted to be modern yet professional, striking the right balance to excite tech-savvy users while reassuring conservative industry investors that miirr.ai is a viable business partner.

The Face of the Brand

The marketing site was designed to translate complex AI capabilities into a clear value proposition. By using a clean, editorial aesthetic, the design positions miirr.ai not just as a tool, but as a modern, trustworthy partner for fashion buyers
